Will this event be cancelled due to weather?
Only if conditions are considered extremely dangerous (severe lightning, blizzard conditions, etc). On race day, if the race is cancelled, you'll be able to pick up your t-shirt and packet at Lake Cunningham, but no refunds will be given. In case of cancellation, an announcement will be made via the Feast and Feathers facebook/twitter/instagram pages, an email blast sent out to all registered participants, as well as posted on the main page of this website.
I signed up but now I can't run this event; can I get my money back?
No refunds will be issued.
Race Transfers ("I signed up for the 10k, but I want to run the 5k instead," etc.)
All transfer requests prior to race day will be handled through ultrasignup with approval from the race directors. Downgrades and bib transfer accommodations can be made with sufficient notice to the race directors. We will only accept downgrades between distances, without a refund. Please contact us at email@example.com
Race day transfer requests MUST be handeled through the event chip timers. Please see the very nice timing folks who will be located near the start/finish with your race day transfer requests.
Is there a time limit?
There is a 3.5 hour time limit. All participants must be at the finish line no later than 11:30 AM. This is approximately a 16:00/min per mile pace for the half marathon.
I've never run trails! What's it like?
The trails at Cunningham are single track (compact dirt, about 2 feet wide) with some horse trails and some sections of fire break (mowed grass). As we approach race day, we will have training runs. Stay tuned to our facebook page for more info!
What are the details of the Lil Gobbler Trot?
Sign your 'lil gobblers' up online, at packet pickup, or on race morning. We will have a short "diaper dash" (for the under 4 kiddos), a 400m, and an 800m. Kids races will start at 10:30 am on top of the bluff, west of the 5k/10k/half marathon starts (don't worry, we'll have lots of signs). We have fun finisher medals for all our lil gobblers!
I can't make it to packet pickup on Wednesday, can someone else pickup my packet?
Will there be aid stations? GU? Water?
There will be no water stops for the 5K.
Half marathon: We will have an aid station located off of Pawnee Road at the Archery Range and at the start/finish area. The aid stations will have water, Tailwind, and honey stinger products. This means you will have the opportunity to take in fluid and sugar three times: the first time you run through the archery range approximately mile 2.4, beginning your second loop at the start/finish line approximately mile 6.6, and the last time you run through the archery range approximately mile 9.
10k: First loop around mile 2.4
I'd like to sponsor, how do I?
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
I'd like to volunteer, how do I?
Feast and Feathers is chip timed thanks to Be About.
Will there be awards?
Village Inn Pumpkin Pies will be awarded to the top 3 male and female in each race - if you believe you have won a pie, stick around after you finish if we don't hand you one immediately!
All half marathon finishers will receive a Feast and Feathers coffee mug!
What shirts will be provided?
Our shirts are unisex long sleeve cotton shirts.
Can I run with my dog?
Be aware that the trail is narrow, crowded, there are lots of children and sometimes scary, loud noises (loud music, starting gun/airhorn). If you feel your dog will be able to handle of this new stimuli without injuring him/herself or someone else, the dog must be on a fixed length leash.
Can I run with a stroller?
Due to the nature of the trail (narrow dirt single-track, grass) running with a stroller is not advised.
